Identifying Ideal Market Research Recruits through Support Groups

Sometimes in order to find ideal respondents for your research you have to think outside the box. That means taking the time to customize your recruitment plan around your project needs. At Fieldwork, one of the ways we do this is by finding and connecting with directors of traditional and online support groups to help recruit certain targets. By doing so, we are able to effectively identify, screen, and provide hard-to-find recruits and ensure our clients get the quality insights they need.

Accountability and Responsibility

Building connections within support groups, both online and in-person, is a strong method to utilize when searching for hard-to-find respondents and requires a large degree of professional integrity and responsibility. When it comes to recruiting, building trust is paramount. This is especially true when it comes to recruiting in support groups that may cover highly-sensitive topics. At Fieldwork, our recruitment security and confidentiality efforts are essential elements of our services. Our recruiting team makes it their top priority to respect all individuals and their situations, ensuring they provide full transparency and ask permission before gaining group access.

In-Person Support Groups

A support group is a group of people with common experiences or concerns who provide each other with encouragement, comfort, and advice. Traditionally support-groups meet in-person. These in-person groups provide the opportunity to connect with highly specific, targeted groups of people that we otherwise may not have access to. With permission, Fieldwork may attend in-person support groups, otherwise  we are often able to connect with directors who can speak on our behalf about the study we are recruiting for.

Online Support Groups

Online support groups are a great option to connect with qualified candidates and expand your reach over several markets/locations at both a national and local level. Recruiting within online support groups is an effective way to increase the chance of finding high-quality recruits.

At Fieldwork we always base our recruitment plan on the uniqueness of each project; utilizing support groups is one of the many recruiting tools in our toolbox.
